AppId is over the quota
AppId is over the quota

Do you really think that getting traffic to your website in the order of 15,000 unique visitors is possible using Free methods? Testing showed that by using the techniques that most describe with article marketing, they just don't work as advertised.

These techniques for driving traffic to your website via article marketing and social bookmarking have been around for awhile but there are some pretty outrageous claims of the amount of traffic that people claim they are getting using these strategies. Being skeptical is natural, but instead of just discounting it completely, decide to give these methods the benefit of the doubt and actually test these tactics first hand to answer the question once and for all whether they are effective.

In a nutshell, the techniques that most people describe when talking about this subject, use the following process:

* Write a unique article on the related subject of your niche website that you want to drive traffic to.
* Submit several unique versions of this article to high ranking article sites
* Watch as floods of traffic come pouring into your site

After testing these methods, it's clear that you wouldn't call the amount of traffic you receive to your websites as floods, instead a trickle may be the better term, and although the technique does work, it was nothing like what most people claim to get at their sites using these website traffic techniques. The good news is that there is a better way to really bring in floods of massive traffic to your website.

In order for this to be successful, you need to add other elements to this strategy. The Internet Marketing gurus do leak bits and pieces of the strategies that do work, but its clear that only a few really know how to do this properly. For most, they don't have the time or the inclination to tackle doing this and is one reason why only a few really know how to do this properly. * Submit each of these to specific websites to Specific Article sites (Automated)

* Use Social Networking to bookmark one of these article submissions to hundreds of sites (Very specific sites must be used (Automated)

* Submit one of these articles to a very important site that ties the other submissions together (Hardly anyone knows this)

* Rinse and Repeat about 8 times per month

* Watch in amazement as droves of traffic begin pouring in to your website

Generate Website Traffic Quickly And Affordably

Are you getting frustrated that the only visitors to your websites are your mother and your friends? Then you are probably not putting enough efforts to generate website traffic. Website building doesn't stop at designing a site and publishing great content on it. You also have to consistently drive traffic towards it. Here are a few tips that can help you get the traffic you want.1. Write articles not to be published on your website but to be submitted to online article directories. This is called article marketing. There are a lot of advantages to using this technique. It does not only drive traffic to your website, it boosts its search engine rankings as well and builds your authority on your niche. Submitting to these directories is often free so you have nothing to lose in trying them.
2. Get into link exchange agreements with other website owners. Make it sure though that you are link exchanging with a website whose topics are related to yours. In this way, you complement each others content. The benefits of a link exchange are several. First, it drives traffic. Second, it passes link juice. And third, it makes your website look more relevant in the eyes of search engines like Google.
3. Submit your website to directories. This is even more important if your website is a blog. There are a lot of respected blog directories out there to which you can submit your blog. Some charges a fee before they include your blog in their listing but most of these directories are free.
4. Have your website optimized for the search engines. Search engine traffic or organic traffic still is the best source of traffic out there. If you do not know how to implement SEO, then find someone who does. What matters most is that you get your website easily found when people search on the engines like Google and Yahoo. Search engines are the best places to generate website traffic.
Social networking sites are now all the rage in the internet. Facebook just recently announced that their registered members are now over 500 million. Other social sites like Twitter, Foursquare and Gowalla are also enjoying rapid growth. What these mean is that there are millions of people logging in to these social networking sites every single day. Looking at it on a marketer's view, these sites are gold mines. If you are able to tap these markets and use them to drive visitors to your website or blog, you increase your site's chances of being successful by a huge leap.
Here are a few tricks on how to use social networking sites to generate website traffic.
First, choose the social networking sites that are most appropriate to the type of website you have. Just because everyone is using Twitter does not necessarily mean you will have to use it as well. Before you sign up with any networking site, you have to ask yourself the question: "What can this site do for me, my website or my business?" If you can't seem to get any solid answer to the question, then the site is probably not the right fit for your website.
Second, sign up with just a few networking sites if free time is something you do not have. If you sign up with too many sites but you don't regularly participate in such sites, all your efforts will be wasted. Hence, focus on a few social sites that you know you can spend some time on.
Third, the key to an effective social media marketing strategy is genuine participation. Don't use a social site just to generate website traffic. You have to use it the way it's supposed to be used first. Use it as a marketing tool second. So build those connections and trust before you even think of doing a sales pitch.
One of the fastest and most effective ways to generate website traffic is through dropping comments on other websites and blogs. This is especially important if you are just starting out as a site builder and blogger. The efforts in traffic-building are at its hardest during the first weeks and months of creating a website or blog. Commenting in other sites is one way to get the ball rolling.
There are however a lot of factors that you need to take into consideration before you write your very first comment. Just like any marketing technique, commenting requires planning. You can't just go around the internet dropping comments on every comment box that comes your way. This is not the right and effective way to do it.
Look first at your own website and determine what your main topics and themes are. This is very important because your comments will be much more effective if you leave comments on websites and blogs whose contents are related to what your own website has. The general rule here is that as much as possible, comment only on those sites that are on the same niche as yours. This doesn't mean you can't comment on unrelated sites; but you have to keep it to a minimum.
The key to an effective commenting strategy is the value of your comments. If your comments are composed of just "Nice post.", then you are not doing yourself any good. Don't comment just for the sake of commenting. See to it that the comments you leave provides value or meaning to what's already been discussed on the article you are commenting on.
While commenting, it is best that you use your real name or that of your website to give more credibility to your comments. Readers of your comments will more likely click on your name thus helping to generate website traffic in the process.
The success of a certain website is often measured by how much web traffic it generates. The more daily visitors it receives, the more successful it will be deemed. Your website may have the best content in its niche but if nobody visits to read it then that content amounts to nothing. As a webmaster or blogger, it is therefore a necessity that you spend some effort in traffic generation. Traffic-building can be very time-consuming most especially if you don't have the monetary budget to take advantage of automated marketing techniques. Internet people are a tough crowd to market to. They are not that easy to please. Their attention spans are very limited. In fact, various studies have shown that you only have just a few seconds to capture the interest of an online surfer.
It is best to look at your traffic-building efforts as a sales pitch. Your website and its content are your products. You are offering it out there in exchange for people's attention. What catches the attention of people these days are content that's straight to the point, helpful and entertaining. The two most common reasons why people go online is to be entertained and to get or gather data. If you can provide these to them, it is going to be much simpler building your site's traffic.
There are a lot of methods you can use for traffic generation. These include search engine optimization, blogging, article marketing, social media marketing, video marketing, PLR marketing, viral marketing and a whole bunch of other ways. You don't have to use all of them. Just pick those that you are comfortable with and of course those that suits the theme or niche of your website. Some traffic-building strategies work on some niches but are not that effective on other niches. So choose your strategies very well.
In order for a website to be successful and achieve its goals, it must have an established reader base. In the simplest of terms, it has to have some traffic. The products and services you have won't sell or the ideas you wrote won't be read if your website doesn't receive substantial traffic. Below are 3 ways that you can utilize to generate web traffic towards your site.
1. Search engine optimization - You have to make sure that your site is optimized for the search engines. Make it as easy for them to crawl and index your site. Create a sitemap for it. Make it uncluttered and navigable. And research very well your most important keywords or phrases and see to it that such keywords are used in all of your site's pages. If you do not know search engine optimization, then you either start learning it or get someone who knows to help you out. SEO is not as complicated as it sounds. Just a few hours of reading SEO resources can easily teach you the basics of it.
2. Social media marketing - Millions of people log-in to social networking sites like Facebook and Twitter every day. This fact alone should be enough reason for you to start social media marketing. All you have to do is create profiles for you and your website then start connecting to people. Build trust and connection first before you start pitching them your stuff.
3. Article marketing - This is pretty simple to implement though it can be very time-consuming since you will be writing articles majority of the time. What you do is write articles that are related to the theme of your website. Include in each article a short author bio as well as a link towards your website. After that, just submit it to article directories like EzineArticles.
Follow these 3 ways to generate web traffic and it won't be long before visitors start streaming in towards your website.
What good is a well-designed and content-rich website if nobody knows it exists? Here are some very practical and effective ways on how to generate website traffic.

Search engine optimization - This should be the very first thing you have to be doing once your website or blog is live on the internet. SEO is not as complicated as it may sound. All it entails is basically using keywords in your content and making sure that the website can be easily crawled and indexed by search engines. Put in there some link-building tactics and you are good to go.
Social media marketing - Social networking sites like Facebook and Twitter are the hottest web properties right now. If you are not using them, then you are being left behind. But if you do, use them to drive traffic to your website as well. It's just a matter of posting links to your website on your Facebook wall or tweeting it on your Twitter page. Or you can create a Facebook Fan Page for your website. So if someone finds it interesting, he can just "Like" it. If he does, it will be posted on his wall and imagine if he has a thousand friends. That could be a thousand new visitors to your website.
Article marketing - This strategy may not be as effective as it used to be but it's still a great way to drive traffic, boost search engine rankings and build authority. What you need to do is simply write an article and submit to as many article directories as possible.

Buy advertising space - Sometimes, the most effective way to generate website traffic is by spending money on great ad spaces. Make sure though that the sites where you advertise yourself are on the same niche as yours. You cannot for instance advertise your online meat store on a vegan website.

How to Generate Free Website Traffic and Make Money Online

Driving traffic to a website is a challenge for any budding online entrepreneur. Every business person wants to sell his or her products and services. For this reason, he needs an audience who can be potential customers or clients. But with millions of websites and thousands of competitors online, you need to know HOW to get your site seen as quickly as possible.Generating free website traffic is a science that can be learned. However, not all traffic is useful. What you need is targeted traffic that has an interest in your product. And to take full advantage of the benefits and rewards provided by this traffic, you need to distinguish which method of generating traffic is useful and which is not.
There are two types of traffic -paid and free. Both these types come in several forms. There are some forms which are really effective, while there are those which can drive traffic to your website but do not generate your desired results. However, compared to the free traffic methods, using paid website traffic methods (that is, advertising) maybe too expensive. For this reason therefore, this article will focus on free traffic methods..
Effective Forms of Free Traffic
As mentioned above, there are effective and not-so-effective forms of website traffic. For you to distinguish which forms to use, here are some of the most effective forms of free traffic which is widely available on the Internet.
Organic Traffic
This is considered as the best type of website traffic due to its effectiveness. Organic traffic is originally driven from search engines. For example, if you use a search engine to learn 'how to start a home-based business in Australia', you simply type in these words, also known as keywords, in the search query box.
In no time, you will yield the top ten results of your query. Of course, the most attractive website will be the one containing your keywords as is. The probability is you will visit this website and provide traffic to that website.
Referred Traffic
Referred traffic is achieved by visiting the link provided by a certain website. Taking on the example above, let us suppose you have visited the website generated by the search engine. As you read along this website, you see certain links to other pages which interest you. You open it in a new tab in your browser and plan to read it afterward.
Email List
Generally, there are two ways of generating an email list. One is solicited while the other is not. Between these two, wise Internet marketers will choose the solicited email list. For one, it targets the traffic that is exactly needed by the business. Your marketing efforts are not considered 'spam' and a waste of time.
Through an email list, you are given the privilege to have a personal communication with a potential customer or client. It is achieved through website landing pages and opt-in boxes where a visitor puts in his or her email address to receive a newsletter or subscription letter to his or her inbox from you. This is particularly effective if you are working in the network marketing industry.
Word of Mouth
This form of free traffic is either done face-to-face or through social media sites such as Facebook and Twitter. If an individual is happy with his or her discovery from a certain website which he or she previously visited, there is an inclination to tell others about it.
Link Traffic
As the name suggests, this form of traffic is created by placing a link of another website to your own website. Since search engines measure the quality and quantity of the links placed in your website, you will have the chance to rank higher in search engine result pages.
To employ these methods, you may use free traffic generating programs also available on the Internet. However, there may be a need to learn about Search Engine Optimization (SEO). Only after learning it will you be able to understand the essence of keywords amongst other things in building traffic for your website.
Your goal in driving traffic to your website is to lead real people to purchase your products and services. Consequently, you don't need 'Paid-to-Click' or 'Paid-to-read' services. It is as if you are just deceiving yourself that you are driving traffic to your website, when in fact, members of these 'Paid-to' sites are not after your products, services or ideas. And probably, after a few seconds from clicking the link to your website, a member will just leave without even bothering to read your web content.
(Please note that the foregoing refers to 'paid to click' programs which we do not recommend. On the other hand, pay per click (PPC) advertising can be an extremely valuable paid method to promote your product.)
In conclusion, be wise in choosing a marketing strategy that you employ for generating your website traffic. Stay away from scammers which only want to get money from you. Research for methods continuously and be able to compare results every time.

How to Increase Website Traffic - It's About Work

I help people trying to make a living online almost every day. The number of people that ask me for a simple set of directions that will help them increase website traffic, and ultimately make them more money, is pretty substantial. I respond to almost every request personally... or at least I try my best to.
Helping people is why I started working online in the first place. If you've been following my work, then you already know my first sizable site was a free resource helping people to get their car's emission control system fixed without breaking the bank! It's been a long road since that project, but my goal has always been the same... helping people solve problems.
I become a website traffic "junkie" very quickly and eventually dedicated the majority of my time to this one area of making a living online. In my opinion, learning to increase website traffic is the single most important thing you can do to get results online. You can have a great product or service, but if you can't get your message out to interested people, your site's going to be, well... lonely.
I'm in the process of putting together a new report on how to use free, or low cost, resources to increase website traffic. The manual will be geared for the newer marketers, but will cover some intermediate and advanced ideas as well that should not be tackled until the proper groundwork has been done.
The resource book is going to be released as a completed project, but I'm going to try something new... As each segment is put together, I'm going to release the content as a free article through this series. How to Increase Targeted Website Traffic to Your Site

If you’re like most internet entrepreneurs you probably spend a lot of time, money, and energy trying to increase targeted website traffic to your site. You’ve probably found that it’s easy to spend a pretty penny on Pay Per Click (PPC) ads. If your keywords for these pay per click ad campaigns are targeted and focused and the content on your website is informative, you’ll increase targeted website traffic from the PPC programs like Google AdWords and Yahoo (formerly Overture.com) -- but those click-throughs can be costly.
If you’re trying to increase targeted website traffic using banner exchanges, free advertising sites, etc. you won’t get the targeted traffic you’re looking for. As you know, in order to succeed on the internet you NEED targeted website traffic – customers who are looking for your product(s) and services and are highly motivated – not just random click-throughs.
There are some things that you can do to increase targeted website traffic to your site for very little money.
Create Valuable Content
Content is king on the Internet. When you create valuable content that people want and need, you will increase targeted website traffic with less marketing effort. If you sell products, make sure that the product images are clear and professional looking, that you have Alt tags on the images, that the images download fast, and that the product descriptions give as much detail as possible about the products (sizes, colors, formats, detailed descriptions, weight, etc.) As you’re writing the web copy for your website pages, keep the questions your customers may have about your products in mind – and answer those questions. Also, remember that for search engine optimization, the more targeted keywords you have on a web page the better your search engine optimization will be – but just don’t over do it with the keywords. Try and pick 2-3 keywords or keyword phrases to try and optimize each of your pages to those keywords by strategically placing the keywords in select locations throughout the page.
Another way to get more free exposure for your website is to write articles about your site’s topic – or the topic that you would like to promote. Writing articles will not only help you get targeted traffic, but it will also help solidify you as an expert in your area of specialty.

There are tons of website and newsletter owners who are looking for fresh content for their sites and blogs. Writing articles is one of the best ways to get free, targeted website traffic to your site. Write an interesting and informative article about a specific topic relating to your niche.

Pick 2-3 keywords or keyword phrases and optimize your article for those words. Use a tool like WordTracker to find the most targeted keywords and you’re going to want to include those keywords in the following places:
• The title of the article
• The first paragraph (within the first 200 characters is best)
• The last paragraph
• At least two-three times in the middle paragraphs
Strategically put your keywords in your article – use the keywords you’re trying to get listed for on the search engines – but don’t go overboard. (Remember, too many keywords is considered spamming in the eyes of search engines.)
You might think that writing an article is out of your league, but if you know your topic – and you definitely should if you’re an expert in your field – then writing should come to you. Just write like you talk and write about the key areas in your market. If you need a second set of eyes, have a friend or family member review the article before you submit it to the ezine sites.
Be sure to remember to mention your bio, your credentials, and a link back to your website in your “author resource box” at the end of the article. When other websites use your article on their site, you’ll get valuable backlinks to your site, but you will also get free targeted website traffic from the people who read your article and click through to your website.
Here are some additional tips for getting the most traffic and links from each article you write
Optimize your article for the search engines:
• Write your article with one or two specific keyword phrases in mind, and use the most important key phrase in the title of your article
• Throughout the article, when possible, put your keyword and keyword phrases, like increase targeted website traffic, in bullets and/or in bold text.

Come up with a compelling title for your article – compelling titles will grab people’s attention. Having a hard time coming up with a great title? Take a look at the titles on some of the ezine sites and you will get good ideas for a title for your article.

Once you have your article written, you should submit your article to the various ezine sites.
Some of the best article directories to submit your articles to are:
• EzineArticles
• Contentdesk
• GoArticles
• Searchwarp
• Article City
• Buzzle
• Amazines.com
• GoArticles.com
• PRWeb.com
• FindSticky
• IdeaMarketers
If you are selling products, you may want to also consider posting ads about your product. Again, make sure the ad copy is targeted to the keywords you’re interested in promoting. Here are some good ad sites:
• USFfreeAds.com
• Sell.com
Search Engine Optimization
You probably already know what Search Engine Optimization (or SEO) is, but for those who are new to the internet marketing scene, here is a brief explanation:
Search Engine Optimization (SEO) is a way to improve the “ranking” of your website, which is listed in the results in the various search engines when someone searches for a particular word or keyword phrase. When your site ranks high in the search engine results, there is a greater chance of potential customers clicking to your website. If you write your web copy correctly and fill your web site pages with targeted keywords (but not too many), that will help you get organically listed on the various search engines. (“Organically” means not paid placement.)
The study of Search Engine Optimization is an in-depth topic in and of itself – way too much to cover here -- but there are recommended search engine optimization books out there that can give you a lot of insight – check out [http://www.websearchmarketer.com/recommendations.htm] to find some good ones. To make sure you’re getting the most current information, be sure to look at the copyright year of the book before you buy it. (Afterall, if it was published in 2002, chances are the material is totally outdated.)
There are also many websites with great information and tips on search engine optimization (SEO.) My favorite search engine optimization newsletter and web site for search engine optimization tips is http://www.highrankings.com. If you educate yourself on SEO, search engine optimization is something you can easily do yourself – and when you’re first starting out and don’t have a lot of money to spend, I recommend you do your own web search marketing campaigns.
As your web site gets more and more targeted website traffic and grows, you may want to look into having a professional firm manage your search engine marketing campaign. One word of caution…When you’re looking at website companies that do search engine marketing services, be watchful, because many websites purport to be “experts” at search engine optimization and “guarantee” that you’ll get top billing on the search engines. FACT: There is NO SEO company that can guarantee a #1 ranking for high-traffic keywords in Google or Yahoo. If you come across a company that advertises such a guarantee, stay clear of them. NO ONE can guarantee that you’ll get ranked high on the search engines – unless they’re doing something shady that will eventually get your site banned.
Here are some search engine optimization basics for you to get started with.
• Use a keyword research tool to find out which keywords you want to try and rank for. Put yourself in the position of your customer/visitor, think about the various keywords and phrases your customers are entering into the search fields to find your website. As a keyword search tool, I like WordTracker. With WordTracker you can see how many competing sites there are -- so you’re not trying to go for keywords with 1 millions competing sites. WordTracker is a little pricey, but if you’re going to be doing a lot of search engine optimization it’s worth it.
• Choose the top 2-3 keywords or phrases you’d like to rank for and put those keywords in the title tag of your home page as well as in your description and the meta keywords. Make sure that each of your pages has a DIFFERENT title, description and targeted keywords. You want to make sure that each and every page of your site is targeted and optimized for the keywords that pertain to your site – but mostly to the information or products on the individual pages of your site.
Here are some other tips:
• Highlight, bold, bullet your keyword or key word phrases when they appear on your web page.
• If you can include your keywords as Headings (Heading 1, 2, etc.) on the page, that’s even better (these are H1 and H2 HTML tags.)
• Write your copy with the keywords or keyword phrases in mind. You want to make sure to include your keywords on your page in multiple locations. The challenge is to not overdo it – that’s considered spamming and you can get into trouble with the search engines.
• Get links from quality sites in your industry.
• Try to get the sites that link to you to use your keyword in the anchor text of the link.
• Continue to add well-researched, valuable content to your site often, and on a regular basis to keep customers coming back for more.
Leave Comments on Blogs and Message Boards
Another effective way to get traffic to your web site is by leaving comments on blogs or forums/message boards related to the topic of your site. Most of the time – depending on the rules of the blog or message boards -- when you leave a comment, you’re allowed to type in your website URL and it will automatically create a link for you.
There You Have It…
So there you have it! Several effective ways to increase targeted website traffic to your site. These strategies are, of course, not the only methods you can use to promote your site. Other proven techniques include email marketing, viral marketing, pay-per-click, joint ventures and more. You can find out more about those topic areas at reputable websites and through web site marketing books – some recommendations can be found here [http://www.websearchmarketer.com/recommendations.htm]. Good luck! I hope to you’ve learned some ways to increase targeted website traffic to your site.
Good luck in your quest to the top!

Free Website Traffic - 3 Easy Ways to Get Traffic to Your Website Free of Charge

Internet marketers are constantly faced with the challenge of getting and increasing traffic to their websites. In order for your website business to stay profitable and competitive, you might choose to draw visitors to your website with the use of low cost online advertising, or put in some effort to get you free website traffic.
Beginning Internet marketers are sometimes skeptical about the effectiveness of some of these methods that generate free website traffic.
However, some of these free methods can be just as effective as paid website traffic methods in helping you make more sales, generate email leads, or simply to get additional visitors to your website.
Here's a little nugget of truth about getting free website traffic: Although you will not need to pay money for such free traffic to your website, you will actually be paying with either your time, energy, or your attention, or with all of these limited resources that you have.
However, the benefit of generating website traffic for free is that you will not need to spend any money.
Another benefit is that such traffic going to your website can also be more stable, predictable, and targeted. Consequently, these website visitors might be more receptive to making a purchase or performing the most desired action (such as signing up for your newsletter) when they arrive at your website.
Here are 3 of the really effective bread-and-butter techniques that can help get you tons of free website traffic:
1) Using SEO or search engine optimisation to get more website traffic:
One way of getting consistent and free website traffic, is to apply sound SEO or search engine optimisation principles when designing and building your webpages for your website. Such principles involve having appropriate title tags, meta tags, keyword tags, and meaningful keywords in your body text. Another key thing to remember about SEO is to have high quality content that are written for people. Such content should include relevant keywords and keyword phrases that people are looking for.
Baffled and confused by SEO terms and techniques? Just check online by typing "seo methods" in the search engines for some of these easy-to-apply methods. Alternatively, you can pick up a good SEO book at your local library, read, and simply apply them.
2) Getting Links from other websites for free traffic to your website:
Getting links from relevant websites that have website content or themes that are similar or compatible with yours, can help boost visitor traffic to your website.
To do this, you can simply go to the Google search engine, type in the keywords that your website uses and look at the search engine results.
Contact those websites that are on the first 3 pages of the search engine results and ask the site owners if they would be agreeable in posting your website link on their website. Try to request links from websites that have a similar or preferably, a higher page rank and search engine rank than your own.
3) Multi-task and do market research and website traffic generation at the same time:
Participate in forums and blogs that have content themes related to the content on your website. Not only can you do some market research and assess what your potential customers might want or need, you can also actively participate by making useful, relevant and meaningful posts to such forums and blogs.
In your forum or blog posts, you can either make a reference to your website or provide a short email signature that includes a web address or URL that can guide people to visit relevant webpages in your website. Remember that it is important for you to post useful and relevant content or information in such blogs or forums.
These 3 free website traffic generation techniques can be very effective in increasing the number of visitors to your website or online business.
Just keep in mind that such increases will take some time before you start seeing results.
To leverage your time in the most efficient manner, have a system and schedule of performing the suggested tasks above, all of which will help drive traffic to your website free of charge.

Free Generation of Quality Website Traffic

The quality of website traffic generated from pay per click, click for click, or link exchange, is directly proportionate to the mindset and intention of the traffic. Pay per click, when done correctly, does attract the highest quality traffic; however this method can be very costly. Click for click advertising attracts the highest quantity, but lowest quality of website traffic. Link exchanges sacrifice current visitors for the prospect of additional visitors from a linked site. A moderate amount of traffic that is of good quality can be obtained by modifying one of these three traffic generation techniques without sacrificing current visitors, and can be done at no cost.
Pay per click advertising is when a webmaster buys advertising from a search engine provider. The webmaster generally pays for every person that clicks on their ad and visits the website. This produces high quality traffic because the visitor was shown the ad based on the search criteria they requested. The ad is shown and if clicked, is the best, or closest option to the needs of the visitor. This type of traffic generally knows exactly what they are looking for and is most suited for the website that they visit. The only downside of pay per click is the excessive cost involved in getting this traffic.
Click for click traffic is generated from website owners clicking onto other websites in the exchange to earn credits. They then spend these credits to have other webmasters visit their site. This practice tends to generate a good deal of traffic to one's own website. The downside of these programs is that usually, the only reason for the visit to their website is to earn the credit so that they in turn will be rewarded with more traffic. This is an endless cycle of very poor quality traffic. These visitors also know exactly what they want. They want traffic to their website. They do get the traffic, but find it almost impossible to monetize it. They spend a lot of wasted hours surfing others websites with no intention of even reading what the site has to offer, much less buy anything!
Lastly there is the link exchange. This is when two or more websites trade links on each others sites. It is designed to generate crossover traffic from one website to another. The problem with this, is that once a website has a visitor that knows exactly what they want, sometimes they are distracted by the exchange link; and may use that link to go to a link-exchanged site and get what they want there. This often costs the original site to lose the visitor, or customer, as the case may very well be, to another website. This form of traffic generation in its raw form, basically putting other sites ads on one's own web page, can be very costly.
Considering the extreme cost of effective pay per click advertising, and the unmotivated traffic generated by the click for click sites, the link exchange seems to be the best traffic generation technique of them all. With a little modification and creativity, it has become an ideal method of traffic generation for other websites, like Vortex. The great part, is that the customer only leaves the original site after they are finished with their business there. The cost of zero is also a big plus. As is the ability of this method to deliver open-minded visitors that are eager to find out about the sites that they visit. The twist is that the visitors are using an exit portal that goes to a random website. The adventurous people are the ones that are more likely to be interested in what any website may offer; and therefore, more likely to make a purchase.
